(AP) ? Florida coach Will Muschamp doesn't have any doubt where his team's next stop should be: Miami for the BCS championship game on Jan. 7.

And the sixth-ranked Gators made a strong case for consideration Saturday by crushing archrival Florida State.

Mike Gillislee ran for two touchdowns and Florida scored 24 straight points in a span of less than nine minutes in the fourth quarter to keep its national title hopes alive with a convincing win over the 10th-ranked Seminoles.

"We have a really tough football team," Muschamp said he left the field for Florida's locker room. "We should be playing for the national championship."

Florida (11-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) came into the game fourth in the BCS standings, and could find itself in position to earn a spot in the national championship game if No. 1 Notre Dame loses to Southern California. The Gators lone loss was in late October to third-ranked Georgia, and it will keep them out of the SEC title game.

"Hopefully we can sneak in," said Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel, who completed 15 of 23 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. "We're a resilient team."

He's not likely to get any argument from Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, who hoped a victory over the Gators would not only persuade pollsters that the Seminoles belonged among the elite, but win some positive attention for the Atlantic Coast Conference.

"They controlled the line of scrimmage up front," Fisher said. "They have a very good team. They did a great job."

The game matching two of the nation's best defenses went back and forth with the Seminoles scoring 20 unanswered points to take a 20-13 lead late in the third quarter. They wouldn't score again until the final play of the game and victory out of reach.

"Our guys understand that it's about all 60 minutes," Muschamp said. "We just really needed to be patient and wear them down."

Did they ever.

Florida regained the lead for keeps at 23-20 on Gillislee's 37-yard run with 11:01 left in the final period on the first play after Florida State's EJ Manuel fumbled, his fourth turnover of the game. Gillislee finished with 140 yards rushing, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark for the season early in the game.

Florida State (10-2, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) was hurt by five turnovers in the game. The Seminoles will play Georgia Tech next week in the ACC title game.

Florida State was hoping to keep its own long shot national title hopes alive with a third straight win over the Gators, but couldn't.

The Seminoles had been so dominant at home, outscoring opponents 324-54 in six previous games here with Clemson doing the most damage when Florida State prevailed in a 49-37 shootout in September.

Florida, not known for its offense, rushed for 244 of its 394 yards against the nation's top-ranked defense, which has benefited from a comparatively weak schedule.

And it was that schedule and a 17-16 loss at North Carolina State last month that has provoked questions about how good the Seminoles were. They couldn't capitalize on the opportunity to prove the doubters wrong.

"We're better than them," Florida nose guard Omar Hunter said. "You have to finish the game. The fourth quarter, that's the most important quarter."

Florida salted its victory away on Driskel's 14-yard touchdown throw to Quinton Dunbar with seven minutes left and Matt Jones' 32-yard run with 2:33 left for a 37-20 lead.

Caleb Sturgis kicked three field goals for the Gators. Florida State's Dustin Hopkins had field goals of 50 and 53 yards to tie former Georgia kicker Billy Bennett's NCAA record of 87 career field goals.

Florida State scored 20 straight points to wipe out an early 13-0 deficit. Manuel threw a 6-yard TD pass to Nick O'Leary and the quarterback bootlegged in from a yard out with 8:30 remaining. When Dustin Hopkins kicked a 53-yard field goal with 4:24 left in the third, the Seminoles looked as if they were on their way.

But Florida dominated the fourth quarter.

Gillislee's go-ahead TD run came the first play after Florida's Dominque Easley recovered the fumble by Manuel, who coughed up the ball after being nailed by Antonio Morrison. Manuel had to leave the game for a series, but was unable to rally the Seminoles after returning.

It was a tough game for Manuel for the second straight year against the Gators. He threw for only 65 yards in a 21-7 win at Florida last season and was intercepted three times Saturday in addition to the costly fourth quarter fumble. It was only the second time he was intercepted three times in a game in his career.

Florida dominated the first half, building a 13-0 lead before Florida State scored on the final play of the half when Hopkins kicked a 50-yard field goal into the wind.

Sturgis hit field goals of 39 and 45 yards and Gillislee scored on a 9-yard run moments after the Gators recovered a fumble on the kickoff by Florida State's Karlos Williams at the Seminoles 21.

The Gators, who missed a golden scoring opportunity near the end of the first quarter when Trey Burton underthrew a wide open Clay Burton at about the Florida State 10, ran 25 plays in the opening quarter to eight for the Seminoles.

By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, Florida State seemed to wear down and Florida rolled right into the middle of the national championship conversation.

Sex and Relationships with Mikaya Heart: Taking Charge | The ...

Sensuality is a vital aspect of most sexual play, and when you have someone restrained you can really go to town, using anything from feathers to whips, and using them on all parts of the body in all kinds of ways, in differing rhythms, with differing touches, from very light to very heavy, from very slow to very fast. The hands alone can produce an infinite number of sensations depending whether you use your palms, fingertips, knuckles, or nails. The kitchen is a great source of interesting toys. You may think you don?t want to experiment with whips because they hurt too much, but when a person is physically aroused, s/he doesn?t feel pain in the same way, so as long as you use a whip or a flogger safely, you may both find it a delightful tool. However, a very light and gentle touch is an important aspect of sensuality and can be extremely arousing. What?s necessary is to be absolutely present, emotionally, mentally and physically, with every fiber of your body. You are silent and still inside, focused on, watching and listening to your partner on all levels.

If you haven?t played in this way before, you may imagine that, as the one in charge, you have to put your own feelings aside, and that desire and passion cannot be flowing through your own body. That?s not the case ? it?s simply a different kind of build-up, more controlled and held. It?s a more feminine way of being, slower and receptive. However, we all know that it?s more common for men to be in charge when it comes to sex (and life in general), and sadly, many of them don?t understand the art of sensuality; they don?t really know how to listen to their partners. They tend to do sex in standard ways, which frequently isn?t what women want. Therefore it can be very useful for women to take on the role of the top, and using restraints is helpful in establishing that role ? although even when you use restraints, you must radiate confidence. That kind of confidence comes from being very present and clear in yourself, and you may initially find that you tend to be anxious that you are not doing it right. That anxiety passes with practice, and in the meantime, I recommend that you just act as though you are absolutely certain about what you are doing, completely self-assured.

You don?t have to stick with any one role, you can play with different roles. That said, some people want to switch, and some don?t. Some find they only play in certain ways with certain people. Some people only ever want kinky sex, and others find that vanilla sex is even more enjoyable when it?s occasionally combined with kink.

Playing around in new and different ways is frequently well worth the initial discomfort and effort, since bondage and other role-playing can quickly change old boring dynamics that aren?t working for you any more. Because she risks being labeled a slut, it requires courage for a woman to step into her own sexual power but when she does so, it?s possible to go very deep, taking intimacy to quite another level. It benefits everyone, since men have a great deal to learn from women who open up in that way. Choosing to claim your power in the realm of sexuality is also likely to help you to be more powerful in your daily life.

Tourists visit Southfork to remember Larry Hagman

PARKER, Texas (AP) ? Tourists and locals flocked to Southfork Ranch on Saturday, bringing flowers in memory of Larry Hagman, who played the infamous J.R. Ewing on the TV show "Dallas."

Hagman died in Dallas on Friday at age 81 due to complications from his battle with cancer.

Southfork, a ranch north of Dallas, was known to millions of viewers as the Ewing family home. Exterior shots of the house and pool were shown when the series aired from 1978 to 1991, although the show wasn't filmed there.

The ranch has been open for tours since the mid-1980s, and now sees more than 100,000 visitors each year. Each room of the house has a theme for each character.

On Saturday, J.R. Ewing's room had flowers and a card for tourists to sign.

"Today is about Larry Hagman and his family," said Janna Timm, a Southfork Ranch & Hotel spokeswoman. "He was such a wonderful person, and we will really miss him."

"Dallas" was recently revived on TNT this summer, and all of the scenes were filmed at Southfork or other places in the Dallas area. Hagman had revised his role as the scheming oilman who would even double-cross his own son.

Linda Sproule of Peterborough, Ontario, had been traveling through the U.S. the past couple of weeks and heard about Hagman's death Friday while in Dallas. She said she didn't know where Southfork was but wanted to come because she was a fan of the show in the 1980s.

"I remember on Friday nights we watched it, and J.R. was bigger than life in some ways," she said after taking the Southfork tour Saturday morning. "This ranch is beautiful. Being here is kind of emotional in a way."

Barbara Quinones and her husband were in town for their daughter's soccer tournament and had already planned to visit Southfork when they heard news of Hagman's death.

"We loved him because he was so ruthless," said Quinones, of Albuquerque, N.M. "This is a sad day, but I'm glad we're here."

Some of the show's stars, including Hagman, came to Southfork for the series' 25th anniversary. The Fort Worth-born actor also had visited several times before the show was revived.

"He was definitely a gentleman, a class act," said Jim Gomes, vice president of resorts at Southfork Ranch & Hotel. "He loved the fans as much as they loved him."

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal speaks during a press conference in Cairo, Egypt, Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 after a cease-fire between Hamas and Israel. Israel and the Hamas militant group agreed to a cease-fire Wednesday to end eight days of the fiercest fighting in nearly four years, promising to halt air strikes and rocket attacks that have killed scores and to discuss easing an Israeli blockade constricting the Gaza Strip. Mashaal said the deal included an agreement to open all border crossings with the Gaza Strip, including the important Rafah crossing with Egypt. A copy of the deal obtained by The Associated Press appeared to be somewhat vague about the details on the crossings. (AP Photo/Ahmed Abd el Fatah)

(AP) ? Gaza residents cleared rubble and claimed victory on Thursday, just hours after an Egyptian-brokered truce between Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers ended the worst cross-border fighting in four years.

The cease-fire announcement had set off frenzied late night street celebrations in the coastal strip, and raised hopes of a new era in relations between Israel and Hamas. The two sides are now to negotiate a deal that would open the borders of the blockaded Palestinian territory.

"Today is different, the morning coffee tastes different and I feel we are off to a new start," said Ashraf Diaa, a 38-year-old engineer from Gaza City.

However, the vague language in the agreement and deep hostility between the combatants made it far from certain that the bloodshed would end.

Israel launched the offensive on Nov. 14 to halt renewed rocket fire from Gaza, unleashing some 1,500 airstrikes on Hamas-linked targets, while Hamas and other Gaza militant groups showered Israel with hundreds of rockets.

It was the worst fighting since an Israeli invasion of Gaza four years ago.

The eight days of relentless strikes killed 161 Palestinians, including 71 civilians, and five Israelis. Israel also destroyed key symbols of Hamas power, such as the prime minister's office, along with rocket launching sites and Gaza police stations.

Despite the high human cost, Hamas claimed victory Thursday.

"The masses that took to the streets last night to celebrate sent a message to all the world that Gaza can't be defeated," said a spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri.

While it is far from certain that Hamas will be able to pry open Gaza's borders in upcoming talks, the latest round of fighting has brought the Islamists unprecedented political recognition in the region. During the past week, Gaza became a magnet for visiting foreign ministers from Turkey and several Arab states ? a sharp contrast to Hamas' isolation in the past.

Israel and the United States, even while formally sticking to a policy of shunning Hamas, also acknowledged the militant group's central role by engaging in indirect negotiations with the Islamists. Israel and the West consider Hamas, which seized Gaza by force in 2007, to be a terrorist organization.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, meanwhile, defended his decision not to launch a ground offensive, in contrast to Israel's invasion of Gaza in the winter of 2008-2009.

"You don't get into military adventures on a whim, and certainly not based on the mood of the public, which can turn the first time an armored personnel carrier rolls over or an explosive device is detonated against forces on the ground," he told Israel Army Radio.

"The world's mood also can turn," he said, referring to warnings by the U.S. and Israel's other Western allies of the high cost of a ground offensive.

However, with the cease-fire just a few hours old, Israel was not rushing to bring home all of the thousands of reservists it had ordered to the Gaza border in the event of a ground invasion, Barak said.

Barak was defense minister during Israel's previous major military campaign against Hamas, which drew widespread international criticism and claims of war crimes.

The mood in Israel was mixed, with some grateful that quiet had been restored without a ground operation that could have cost the lives of soldiers.

Others ? particular those in southern Israel who have endured 13 years of rocket fire ? thought the operation was abandoned too quickly and without guaranteeing their security.

    Hitchcock

Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson in Hitchcock.

Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, and Scarlett Johansson in Hitchcock

Photo by Suzanne Tenner/Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Sacha Gervasi?s Hitchcock is a pleasant but unambitious, small-scale biopic, not dissimilar in spirit from last year?s My Week with Marilyn. It reconstructs and freely fictionalizes a brief period in its famous subject?s life, never really aspiring (or daring) to offer much more than a blurred but generally flattering snapshot of the complicated, difficult person at its center. I wouldn?t recommend Hitchcock to cinephiles seeking a bold new take on the master?s life or work, but if all you want is to while away the afternoon in the company of some excellent actors in plummy period costume, Gervasi?s film is not without its pleasures. ?

For truth in advertising?s sake, Hitchcock (scripted by John McLaughlin from a book by Stephen Rebello) should have been called The Hitchcocks. More than a portrait of the phlegmatic filmmaker himself, it?s a portrait of his marriage to Alma Reville Hitchcock, who was credited as a co-screenwriter on some films (Suspicion, Shadow of a Doubt) and collaborated, closely but anonymously, on nearly all of them. Alma had a reputation as an unerring script adviser and an eagle-eyed viewer?upon viewing a near-final cut of Psycho, she was the only one to notice that Janet Leigh, who was supposed to be dead on the shower floor, had swallowed before the camera cut away.

As played by the dryly witty and drop-dead sexy Helen Mirren, Alma is both Hitch?s intellectual equal and his biggest fan?even if she is getting fed up, not just with her professional invisibility, but with her husband?s tendency to overeat, drink too much, and pine over headshots of cool blond actresses while she sleeps alone in her twin-size bed. But when Hitch, fresh from the critical and commercial success of North by Northwest, gets it into his head to commission a script based loosely on the Robert Bloch novel Psycho (which was in turn based on the grisly real-life story of murderer Ed Gein), everyone from Alma to his agent Lew Wasserman (Michael Stuhlbarg) to the head of Paramount Studios tries to convince him it?s a sick, unmarketable, possibly career-killing idea. This only increases Hitch?s commitment to making the picture, and he eventually gets Alma to agree to self-finance the movie, risking their lavish Bel Air mansion in the process.

As the Psycho shoot gets under way, Hitch and Alma are drawn into separate not-quite romances: He?s nursing a grudge against the actress Vera Miles (Jessica Biel) for having withdrawn from the lead in Vertigo after getting pregnant. Ever one for tormenting his leading ladies, Hitch gives Miles a small role in Psycho in order to alternately tease and ignore her while flagrantly crushing on his new star, Janet Leigh (Scarlett Johansson). As for Alma, she?s working on a script for a non-Hitchcock film with the smooth-talking younger screenwriter Whitfield Cook (Danny Huston), who rents the two of them a beachside ?writing cottage? that looks better suited to afternoon delight than to literary collaboration.

These obstacles thrown in the way of the Hitchcocks? domestic happiness can feel at once melodramatic and trivial, as if the screenwriter simply needed to give the Hitchcocks something to do while we wait for them to realize both the primacy of their marriage bond and the deep interdependency between his work and hers. Unfortunately, since copyright restrictions forbade either the use of any images from Psycho or the literal recreation of such images, the on-set scenes also prove vaguely unsatisfying (though Gervasi does think of a few clever workarounds, framing well-known shots from slightly different points of view).

Hitchcock errs in yoking its realistic showbiz narrative to a bizarre recurring fantasy that has Hitchcock sharing unsettling confidences with the psychotic grave robber Ed Gein (Michael Wincott). It?s unclear whether Hitchcock experiences these as creative daydreams, invasive nightmares, or both, but whatever tone of macabre whimsy Gervasi was shooting for in these scenes never quite lands, and you find yourself dreading the murky lighting and faux-Bernard Herrmann music (actually composed by Danny Elfman) that presages a Gein appearance.

James D?Arcy does an uncanny Anthony Perkins in a powerful audition scene (though not much more is required of him than that, since the character soon all but disappears) and Kurtwood Smith continues his career-long roll as the go-to heavy, playing an MPAA censor whom Hitch must convince to release the film despite its then-unprecedented levels of nudity and gore.

Director Gervasi, who directed the sweet-spirited rock documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, is at his best when he chills out on the self-conscious stylistic touches (fantasy sequences, direct address to the camera, etc.) and lets Hopkins and Mirren as the prickly, warring, but ultimately loyal Hitchcocks have at it. Hopkins? performance, though not an out-and-out impersonation?his speech is measurably faster than the director?s froglike croak?is pleasurably broad, even a little campy. Encased in a latex fat suit, eating foie gras by the tinful, he plays the master of suspense as a vulnerable neurotic whose great strength was his ability to mine that neurosis for his art. As for Mirren, she knows exactly what sort of movie she?s in?a lightweight show-business romance with snazzy period costumes, a TV-ready happy ending, and a few scenes that give her a chance to cut the acting rug (for the first time in their careers!) with Anthony Hopkins. She?ll be damned if she isn?t going to enjoy every minute of it, and as long as she?s on screen, so do we.
